Their are so many types and models now on the market.
Some simple things to keep in mind. / Buying Tips
* Freshwater or Saltwater?
This is critical. Not all solar marine lights are designed for both.
Saltwater could ruin your solar dock light within 6 months if the solar light is not rated for
a saltwater enviroment. Ensure the solar light has a freshwater or saltwater rating.
* Application:
- Solar Navigation lights are designed for visibility.
Visibility ranges could be from 0.5 - 5 Nautical Miles.
- There are many styles to accommodate dock and pier solar lighting.
Flush mounts, Recessed Solar Lights, Pier Post Mounts etc.
Most solar dock lights will provide ambient pathway lighting.
There are many LED colors now available for your solar dock lights.
Low profile solar lights for dock and piers are ideal for pathway lighting.
Battery Replacement:
I strongly suggest only buying solar marine lights that allow you to change out the battery
as needed. If you cannot change out the battery - the unit will be thrown away.
This I critical, and not all solar dock lights have this feature.
